Gulab jamun

Ingredients:
1 cup nonfat milk powder
1/4 cup All Purpose flour (plain flour, maida)
3 tablespoons unsalted butter at room temperature
1/4 cup room temperature whole milk Pinch of baking soda
1 3/4 cup sugar
1 1/2 cup water
4 coarsely grounded cardamom seeds
1 tablespoon sliced almonds and
Oil for deep-frying

Sugar Syrup:

In a large pan, add water, sugar, and ground cardamom seeds and bring it to a boil.
Let the syrup boil for 7-8 min then remove it from the heat.
Stir the syrup until the sugar is dissolved.
Set the syrup aside.

Gulab Jamun:

1.In a bowl, mix milk powder, flour and baking soda. Add the butter and mix well.
2.Now add milk to make soft dough. The dough will be sticky. Let the dough sit for a few minutes. Milk powder will absorb the extra milk. If the dough is dry, add more milk, as the dough should be soft.
3.Knead the dough. Grease your hands with butter before working with the dough.
4.Divide the dough into about 20 equal portions and roll them into round balls.
5.Heat the oil in a frying pan on medium heat. Place the gulab Jamuns in the frying pan. Note: remember gulab jamuns will expand in double the volume, so give them enough space.
6. Fry until the gulab jamuns become dark brown.
7.Let the gulab jamuns cool off for a few minutes before placing in the hot syrup.
8.Put gulab jamuns in syrup for 20-30 min.
9.Decorate it by putting sliced almonds on it.
10.Enjoy hot or cold !!!!!!!!!!may be with ice cream

Penne Rigate Pasta

Ingredients:

2cups penne rigate pasta
1 cup chopped broccoli
1 cup chopped cabbage
1/2 cup Bell pepper
1 tomato cut into small pieces
1/2 cup milk
1 tablespoon salt(to taste)
Black pepper to taste
1 tablespoon olive oil/canola oil
1 cup shredded sharp cheese

Method:

1.Bring water to boil in a pan.Put salt in the boiling water.(You can put salt as you like as this is the only time pasta will become salty)

2.Now add pasta to boiling water.Cook it till half cooked.

3.Now add cabbage and broccoli to boiling water with pasta.

4.Strain water when cabbage and broccoli is well cooked.

5.Put oil in pan,add bell pepper.Cook for a min.Now add tomato and cook for 2 min.Add ground black pepper to taste.

6.Now add pasta to pan.After mixing everything together add milk to pasta.

7.When milk is almost half add cheese.

8.Add dried parsley flakes to pasta and serve hot.

9.Add more cheese while eating if you are a fan to cheese and enjoy yummy yummy pasta!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Cinnamon biscuits

Ingredients:
2 cup all purpose flour
1/2 cup powdered sugar
1/2 tsp ground cinnamon
1/8 tsp salt
1 cup chopped walnuts
1 tsp vanilla
1 cup butter or margarine softened
Coating:
1/4 cup granulated sugar
1 tsp ground cinnamon

Method:

1.Heat oven to 325F

2.In a large bowl beat sugar,butter and vanilla with electric mixer on medium speed until light and fluffy.

3.Mix all dry ingredients in separate bowl and then add it to butter and sugar mixture.

4.Now mix everything all together on low speed.

5.Shape dough into 1 inch balls;place balls 1 inch part on ungreased cookie sheet.

6.Bake for 15 min or until set but not brown.

7.Meanwhile in a bowl mix coating ingredients together.

8.Remove cookies from cookie sheet n cool it for about 3 min.

9.Now roll cookies in coating and cool them.If you want you can sprinkle more coating on cookies.

10.Enjoy rich soft cookies with hot tea !!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Brinjal bharta(egg plant bharta)

Ingredients:
1 Brinjal medium size(1/2 lb-1lb)

2 medium Onions (cut finely)

1 Tomato (cut finely)

cilantro

Green chili

1 tsp garlic paste

1/2 ginger paste

1 tsp. Cumin seeds

1/2 tsp red Chilies (to taste)

Coriander powder
Green Peas 2 tbsp.

Oil or ghee

Salt to taste

Method:

1.Preheat oven to 400 F

2. Grease brinjal with oil and rub with your hands.

3.Grease cookie sheet with cooking spry and place brinjal on it and bake it for about 15-20 min at 375 F.Ovens vary so keep an eye on it

4.When skin of brinjal loses ,remove it from oven and peel off the skin
5.With a fork mash the brinjal.
6. Heat oil or ghee .

7.Put cumin seeds , minced garlic or paste and Ginger one at a time.Cook for 1 min

8.Put some finely chopped green chillies peas and then tomatoes.Cook it for 2 min.9.Add all dry spice(red chill,coriander powder,salt)Cook for 2 min.
10.Now add the mashed brinjal to it.Give it a stir and put some fresh chopped cilantro.

11.Serve hot.with naan or roti !!!!!!!!!!!! enjoy

Peanut butter cookies

Ingredients:

1/2 cup granulated sugar

1/2cup packed brown sugar

1/2 cup butter or margarine,softened

1/2 cup peanut butter

1 teaspoon vanilla

1 egg

1 1/4 cup all purpose flour

1 teaspoon baking soda

1/2 teaspoon salt

4 teaspoon sugar


Method:

1.Heat oven to 375 F.

2.In a large bowl beat granulated sugar,brown sugar and butter with electric mixer until light and fluffy.

3.Beat the above mixture in peanut butter, egg and vanilla extract until well blended.

4.On low speed beat the mixture in flour,baking soda and salt until everything mixes well.

5.Shape the dough in 1 inch balls an place it on a greased cookie sheet.

6. Place dough balls 2 inch apart since balls will expand.

7.Bake for 8-10 min or until golden brown.Immediately remove cookies from sheet.


Variation:
(Chocolate chip peanut butter cookie) Stir in 1 cup semisweet chocolate chips 6 oz into dough.

(Nutty peanut cookie) Add 1 cup chopped nuts to dough.

Banana nut Bread

Ingredients:
3/4 cup Sugar
1/2 cup softened butter or margarine(at room temperature)
2 eggs
1 cup mashed ripe bananas( almost 2 medium size)
1/3 cup milk
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
2 cups all purpose flour
1/2 cup chopped walnuts(or any other you like)
1 teaspoon baking soda
1/2 teaspoon salt

Method:

1.Preheat oven at 350 F.

2.In a large bowl mix all dry items flour,sugar,salt and baking soda.

3.In the other bowl beat sugar and butter with spoon until light fluffy.Beat in eggs.

4.Stir in mashed bananas, milk and vanilla extract until well blended.

5. Now mix banana mixture to dry ingredients and stir till they are moistened.

6.Grease bottom of a 9x5 or 8x5 inch loaf pan with cooking spry.

7.Pour the mixture in loaf pan and keep it in oven for 40-50 min.

8.Every oven varies so keep an eye on bread .

9.Remove bread when toothpick inserted comes out clean.place bread on a cooling it on rack.

Kalakand(Milk Cake)

Ingredients:-

Powdered milk 10 oz
Confectioners white sugar 10 oz
Ricotta cheese 16 oz
Sliced almonds 1 teaspoon(s)
Chopped cashew nuts 1 teaspoon(s)

Preparation :-

1. Mix the first three ingredients together to get a creamy paste.
2. Put the mixture in a microwaveable dish and cook on low heat in the microwave for about an hour or you can cook it on gas till slightly brown.(Keep stiring if you cook on gas.)
3. Transfer to a open flat dish and top with sliced almonds and cashew nuts.
4. Eat when cooled down to room temperature.
