Cinnamon Rolls

Ingredients for sweet roll dough:

6-7 cups all purpose flour

1/2 cup cup sugar

2 tsp salt

2 pack regular active dry yeast

1 cup water 1cup milk

1/2 cup butter or margarine

1 egg

Method:

1.In a large bowl,mix 2 cups of flour,sugar,salt,yeast.In a pan heat water,milk and butter until warm. Add warm liquid and egg to flour mixture, beat with electric mixer on low speed until moistened,scraping bowl frequently.With spoon stir 3 cups of the flour until dough pulls cleanly away from side of bowl.

2.On floured surface, knead in remaining 1 to 2 cups remaining flour until dough is smooth and elastic,8-10 min.grease large bowl with cooking spray.Place dough in bowl;cover it with plastic wrap and towel cloth.Let it rise in warm place for 60 min or until dough is doubled. gently push or knead to deflate dough.Divide dough in half ;Shape as directed below.

Roll filling Ingredients:

2 tablespoon butter softened

1/2 cup sugar or brown sugar

2 teaspoons cinnamon

1.On lightly floured work surface,roll out 1/2 sweet roll dough with rolling pin into 18x12 inch rectangle.Spreed 2 tablespoon softened butter .In a small bowl mix 1/4 cup sugar and 2 tablespoon ground cinnamon.Sprinkle it over the dough.

2.Start from 18 inch side and roll up tightly.pressing edges to seal.Cut into 18 slices.Arrange slices,cut side down,in a pan.Cover;let it rise in warm place for 35 to 45 min until light and doubled in size.

3.Preheat oven at 375 F.uncover dough;bake 25 to 35 min or until golden brown.Immediately remove rolls from pan;Place it on a cooling rack. cool for 5-8 min.

Glaze Ingredients:

1 cup powdered sugar

1 tablespoon butter softened

1/2 tablespoon vanilla

1 to 2 tablespoon milk

Method: Mix all glaze ingredients until smooth,adding enough milk for desired consistency,drizzle over warm rolls.

Serve warm and enjoy as you can't control cinnamon aroma.
