White Vanilla cake

1cup white sugar
1/2 cup butter
2 eggs
2 teaspoons vanilla extract
1 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
1 3/4 teaspoons baking powder
1/2 cup milk

Method:
1.Preheat oven to 350 degrees F. Line the 9x9 pan with parchment paper and then butter and flour the paper.
2. In a medium bowl, cream together the sugar and butter.
3. Stir in vanilla. Beat in the eggs, one at a time till light and fluffy
4. Shift the flour/baking powder.Mix these dry ingredients.Add this to the bowl scraping occasionally.
5.Stir in the milk slowly, constantly mixing, until batter is smooth.
6.Bake for 30 to 40 minutes, or until golden brown and toothpick comes out clean.
Icing:
1/2 pound (225g) unsalted butter (4 cubes)

1/2 cup (100 g) granulated sugar,
1/4 teaspoon salt,
1 tsp. pure vanilla extract.
Method:
1 cup unsalted butter at room temperature

Method:
Mix sugar and butter till light and fluffy,Add vanilla extract.Mix it well at high speed till it becomes silky.
